Youth-RecreationTicket
Since March 2010 the new Jugend-FreizeitTicket has been offered to all children, pupils and apprentices younger than 21 years. You can travel within the VBN-region from Monday to Friday after 02:00 pm (14.00 h) and on weekends and public holidays all-day long. You can decide flexibly where and how often you want to travel! All public transport systems are available with the exception of the Intercity (long distance) trains.
The Jugend-FreizeitTicket is available as monthly or annual ticket. So, it is your choice to buy the ticket for several months or even for a year, which would be cheaper anyway.
Benefits of the monthly Jugend-FreizeitTicket:
- You can decide on your mobility within the VBN-region from month to month.
- You get instant access to the ticket, as it is available in all BSAG-customer centres and at our sales partners.
Benefits of the annual Jugend-FreizeitTicket:
- If you decide to buy the annual ticket, you will have to pay the annual amount in advance, but in return you will save 5,- Euro each month, compared to the price for a single monthly ticket. You will get the annual ticket by submitting the order form and a passport photo in one of our customer centres. Just complete your order form online (http://www.jugend-freizeitticket.de/) or visit us in one of our customer centres. Please, note that a legal guardian has to sign the form, if you are under 18 years of age.
- In case that you lose your annual ticket, you can order a new one, if you agree to pay a handling charge.
Please consider this additional information:
“Nachtlinienzuschläge” (additional fees for nightlines) and fares for the “Nachteule” (special nightline busses) are already included in the ticket. The ticket is individual-related and cannot be transferred to others. Therefore, you may have to show your Child’s Travel Document or student identity card in case of a ticket control. Teenagers and grownups over 16 years should always have a "photo identification", e.g. passport to hand.
The Jugend-FreizeitTicket is available for all teenagers and grownups under 21.
This means precisely, as long as your 21st birthday is before the validity date of your ticket, you can use all the advantages until the end of the validity period. This is obviously most profitable with an annual ticket.
