The Bildungszentrum für Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH (BIZEV - training centre for transport organisations) was founded in 1999 and has the following members in addition to the BSAG: Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Straßenbahn AG, Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG, Kasseler Verkehrsgesellschaft, Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe, Leipziger Verkehrsgesellschaft GmbH, Stadtwerke Bonn, üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe, Vestische Straßenbahn GmbH. The companies are organised through an association which the company sponsors. The headquarters of the BIZEV is in Bremen. Regional centres are being built in Cologne, Dortmund/Bochum and Kassel. The companies involved are seeking not only to achieve increased networking with respect to training and to improve their own range of training programmes, but also to develop and offer inter-company training programmes for the transport industry. A website is scheduled to be launched early in 2003.
