Happy Weekend Ticket (Schönes Wochenende Ticket)

First of all the happy weekend ticket is valid for all transport companies of the whole VBN area. At the DB AG the happy weekend ticket is accepted on all local trains (“IRE”, “RE” and “RB”). Over this it is also valid for many transport companies outside the VBN area. First class use is not possible with the happy weekend ticket.

Depending whether you are travelling as a family or as a group you have two different possibilities for fellow passenger regulations. Are you travelling as a family the parents or grandparents – means two adults – can take as much children or grandchildren between age 6 and under age 15 as they want with them. Otherwise the happy weekend ticket can be used from a group of a maximum of five persons.

Children younger than age 6 travel free.

With the happy weekend ticket you are mobile for a whole day. Validity starts Saturdays or Sundays at 0 o'clock and always ends at the end of business hours, means at 3 o'clock the next morning.

Happy weekend tickets are available at our BSAG sales places at advance booking and also at our vehicles.
