Monthly travelcard for school-goers
The school-goer monthly travelcard ("MonatsTicket, Schüler") is valid for one calendar month until 12.00 PM of the first workday of the following month. A School-goer monthly travelcards may only be used by eligible persons (please refer to the fare rules section 3.3) who also have a customer card for school-goers and apprentices/trainees.
Those with a monthly travelcard or a school-goer monthly travelcard may take additional passengers along with them under the "Take someone along for free" rules. These tickets are transferable.
Monthly travelcards can be obtained with cash or credit card at all BSAG sales outlets and BSAG sales partners. In BSAG and VWG vehicles, these tickets can only be obtained by paying with the Geldkarte at the ticket vending machine (TOUCHmobil). Regional bus operators also sell normal monthly travelcards.
School-goer monthly travelcards can only be obtained at BSAG sales outlets, BSAG sales partners and in the regional buses.

Those with a school-goer monthly travelcard can additionally purchase an IC surcharge (for Deutsche Bahn IC trains).
