News from tram routes 1, 1S and N1
PROLONGATION
From Tuesday, 2. April, route 1 and N1 are prolonged to the new key station Bahnhof Mahndorf.
CONSTRUCTION SITE HAUPTBAHNHOF
Over whitsun, from Friday, 17 May (21 h) until Monday, 20. May (in the morning), construction sites around the main station lead to diversions of several routes in both directions. Several stops are cancelled or relocated. Several routes have extraordinary timetables. Please take care of the informations at the stops. The most important facts are:
- Route 1/N1: Am Dobben - Ostertor - Domsheide - Hauptbahnhof
- Route 4: Am Dobben - Ostertor - Domsheide (not over Hauptbahnhof!)
- Route N4: Am Dobben - Ostertor - Domsheide - Hauptbahnhof - Bürgerpark - Hauptbahnhof - Domsheide
- Route 10: Sielwall - Ostertor - Domsheide - Hauptbahnhof
- Route 25/N5: Herdentor - Herdentorsteinweg - Hauptbahnhof (stop in the Herdentorsteinweg nearby the highway).
Stop Domsheide of routes 2 and 3 is reloacted to the cathedral.Stop Rembertistraße is only served by route 25. Stop Humboldtstraße is served by routes 1/N1 and 4/N4, but not by route 10/N10.
BUSSES INSTEAD OF TRAMS BETWEEN KIRCHBACHSTRASSE AND BETRIEBSHOF VAHR FROM 24. MAY
Construction works in the Vahr lead to diversions of routes 1 and N1 from Kirchbachstraße like route 5 to Horner Mühle from Friday, 24. May (21 h) until Monday, 27. May (3.30 h). Busses go between stop Kirchbachstraße and Betriebshof Vahr (Kurt-Huber-Straße).
- Huchting – Am Brill – Hauptbahnhof – Kirchbachstraße (-Horner Mühle): trams
- Kirchbachstraße – Kurt-Huber-Straße (Neue Vahr): busses
- Kurt-Huber-Straße – Bahnhof Mahndorf: trams
You can change at stops Kirchbachstraße and Betriebshof Neue Vahr (Kurt-Huber-Straße).

HIGH SPEED ROUTE 1S
Good service for passengers from Osterholz in direction to the central station: This express tram doesn't stop everywhere and so it is some minutes faster. The "1S" is in service from monday until friday in the morning. Please have a look at the time-tables!
